This pretty little porcelain lamp is from the mid 1940's early 50's. Stamped on the bottom made in occupied Japan. Pieces stamped Occupied Japan where made from 1945-1952. This lamp comes with the shade you see. Not original but it works. It's a clip on. Molded ruffled plastic with a floral plastic cover and bow trim. The man and women are dressed in 17th clothes with transfer flowers in dark red and burgundy. Hand painted gold trim. With the shade on it's 15 1/2" tall. The figures measure 8 1/4" tall to where the socket is attached. The base is 4 1/4" L
X 2 7/8" D. Excellent condition. There is a ruff spot on the pole that the gentleman has his arm around that is a manufacturing defect. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. Original wiring. The shade has a couple small holes or tears in the thin top layer and the color is a bit more cream than white. They probably where originally a pair, perhaps you have the other. I ship same or next business day.
